Miss Catherine believed television could carry the love of Jesus into every home.
At the heart of KPLE-TV's story is its founder, Catherine Mason — lovingly known to generations of the KPLE family as Miss Catherine.
Her vision was never simply to operate a television station. She saw an opportunity to use the airwaves to encourage people, strengthen families, give ministry a voice, and let people know that they were loved by God.
That vision carried a remarkable joy. Every broadcast represented another opportunity for someone, somewhere, to hear a message of faith, discover hope, or be reminded that God had not forgotten them.
